Terms of Service

The deal for playing on parole, using our Discord server and bots, and buying from the store.

Last updated 23 October 2026

1.What these terms cover

These terms apply to everything parole runs:

  • ‣The Minecraft server at parole.rocks ("in-game").
  • ‣The parole Discord server at discord.gg/parole and the parole Discord bot that runs it (tickets, account linking, guard applications, moderation).
  • ‣The parole gang bot, which server owners can add to their own Discord server to connect it to a parole gang.
  • ‣The store at store.parole.rocks.
  • ‣This website.

By joining the server, joining the Discord server, adding or using one of our bots, or buying from the store, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use them.

How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

3.Who can play

You need your own Minecraft: Java Edition account. Discord requires you to be at least 13, or older where your country’s law says so, and the same goes for parole. If you’re under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian’s permission to buy anything.

You’re responsible for everything done on your account. Don’t share it, and don’t play on someone else’s.

Linking your Minecraft account to Discord (/link) is optional, but some things, like applying to be a guard, need it.

4.Rules and moderation

You have to follow the rules, the same ones as /rules in-game. Guards also follow the guard rules (/guardrules). Rules on Discord are posted in the Discord server.

Staff can warn, mute, kick, ban, strike or demote players, remove guard access, blacklist people from applying, and remove items or currency that were gained by breaking the rules. Bans can cover your other accounts and the connection you play from.

Some moderation is automatic. Chat is checked by an automatic filter (see the Privacy Policy), and its strikes lead to warnings and mutes on their own.

Think a punishment was a mistake? Appeal it in a ticket on Discord. After an appeal, the staff decision is final.

We can refuse service to anyone who abuses the server, the community or staff, also when no specific rule covers it.

5.In-game currency and items

Chocolate, golden chocolate, credits, guard bits, ranks, cosmetics, gang levels and every other item or currency on parole are part of the game. They have no real-world value, you don’t own them, and they can’t be exchanged for money.

You can’t sell or trade parole accounts, items, currencies or services for real money or for things outside parole.

We change the game all the time. Items, prices and features can be added, rebalanced or removed. Seasons end, and a new season can reset seasonal progress such as inventories, chocolate, levels and leaderboards. Permanent store purchases are kept across seasons.

6.Buying from the store

The store is run on PayNow, which takes the payment as the merchant of record and handles tax and fraud checks. Your purchase is between you and PayNow, under their terms, and your payment details go to PayNow, not to us.

What you buy is a licence to use a digital item or perk on parole. It is delivered to the Minecraft account you entered, usually within a few minutes while you’re online.

Season items last for the season they were bought in. Permanent items stay on your account. parole+ is a subscription (monthly, per season or yearly): it renews until you cancel it, and cancelling stops the next payment, not the period you already paid for.

Refunds are requested through PayNow, which reviews them. Because items are delivered right away, you may lose the right to withdraw once delivery starts where the law allows that.

If a payment is refunded or charged back, what it bought is taken back, including credits a parole+ membership paid out. After a chargeback we can ban the account.

Getting banned for breaking the rules does not entitle you to a refund.

7.The gang Discord bot

When you add the gang bot to a Discord server, you confirm you’re allowed to manage that server. The bot relays your gang’s chat between Minecraft and the channel you pick, and posts vault logs and gang events there.

Everyone in that Discord server who can see the channel can read what is relayed. Tell your members that their gang chat ends up there.

We can unlink a gang’s Discord server, or stop the bot for a server, at any time.

8.What you post and build

You keep what you create, such as chat messages, signs, books, builds, gang names and skins. You let us store it, show it to other players, moderate or remove it, and show it in screenshots, videos and posts about parole.

Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to post, or anything that breaks the rules or the law.

9.Availability and liability

parole is provided as is. We try to keep it online and fair, but there will be downtime, bugs, restarts, rollbacks and lost progress, and we don’t promise the server, the bots or the store will always be available or work without errors.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost items, lost progress, downtime, or any indirect damage that comes from using parole. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that can’t be limited.

10.Ending your use

You can stop playing at any time. To have your data removed, see the Privacy Policy.

We can suspend or end your access to the server, the Discord server, the bots or the store if you break these terms, and we can shut down any part of parole.

11.Changes and contact

We can change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and big changes are announced on Discord. If you keep using parole after a change, you accept the new terms.
